Nording: Cumberland Partially Rusticated Billiard

Product Number: 002-508-13644

Erik Nording offers a wide portfolio of shapes, often times showcasing a particular inclination for the robust design sensibility of the Danish Fancy Freehand school of shaping, but here, those inclinations are traded for a more modest, traditional design that still has plenty of eclectic flair. This straight Billiard from the Danish carver possesses a sleek, streamlined design that pairs a stout, softly rounded bowl to a sleek shank-and-stem combination. It features a dual finish, contrasting a charcoal-black rustication against the rest of the stummel's dark chestnut, smooth finish. Topped with an acrylic tapered stem of cumberland hues — a distinctive addition that defines Nording's Cumberland series — this piece presents a unified whole with plenty of unique texture at the bowl.
