This compact bent Apple from Erik Nording is well on the reserved, conservative side for the Danish carver and is a dramatic departure from his flourishing Freehands and rugged finishing style. A woody contrast stain dresses the stummel, bringing out the briar's grain in an understated, yet attractive manner. The bowl is pleasantly plump and urges forward from out of the transition, offering a respectably capacious tobacco chamber within. This piece is also remarkably light and perfect for pocket carry, ideal for the on-the-go pipe smoker.
