Nørding: Erik The Red Partially Rusticated Bulldog Tobacco Pipe

This Bulldog from Erik Nording belongs to his Erik the Red series, a line of pipes that are more traditionally shaped, deviating from the Danish artisan's typical Freehand aesthetic, and designed as workhorse smokers at an affordable price point. Fitting well into the series' theme, this Bulldog features a stolid, muscular bowl with a subtle ridgeline set just below the tapered rim. Below said ridgeline, the bowl tapers downward to the firm heel, while the diamond shank extends from the low-slung, tight-knit transition. Topped off by a mouthpiece of jet-black vulcanite, this piece wears a stylish rustication across the lower bowl and transition, with the upper bowl and part of the shank left smooth and stained a warm, smoky color.
