Perhaps best known for his Fancy Freehands, Erik Nording is also adept in crafting Danish classic shapes, as in this "352" Valhalla straight Billiard. The tall, upright bowl displays a gradual taper to the rim, with a bright metal spigot along the shank end and stem base providing contrast to the rugged, earthy sandblast enveloping the stummel. In addition to contrast, the shiny spigot lightens the composition and allows the pipe to be broken down, even while hot.
