Erik Nording fashions many renditions of the bent Dublin shape, with this particular Handmade example being more in line with his Fancy Freehand style. It's rife with a sense of organicism, from the fluting ridges and deep channels along the flanks of the bowl to the craggy plateau that adorns the flared rim. The upturned shank and arcing saddle stem add a touch of fluidity to the composition and promote a comfortable smoking posture. A warm, ruby-hued smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights sweeping flame grain on either flank of the bowl.
