The Extra series from Erik Nording tends to gravitate more towards traditionally inclined shapes and is primarily characterized by its use of exotic hardwood accents that are frequently paired to vibrant acrylic stems. This bent Dublin is an excellent example, with a well-grained hardwood accent band adorning the shank end, though this is paired here to a traditionally inclined, jet black stem. The stummel's finished in a warm, chestnut stain that highlights the impressively tight streaks of vertical grain surrounding the bowl, while rugged plateau is oriented along the asymmetric rim.
