Nørding: Handmade Partially Sandblasted Billiard (11) Tobacco Pipe

Relatively compact, but with a stout, muscular bowl, this Billiard from Erik Nording was crafted entirely by hand, as part of the Danish carver's Handmade series. The shape differs from the Fancy Freehand style associated with the carver, offering instead a fairly straightforward composition, pairing a firm bowl to an arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. It's dressed in dueling finishes: the fore and heel of the bowl wears a dark, light-depth sandblast while the rest of the stummel wears a smoky smooth finish. A pale, horn-like band adorns the base of the mouthpiece, adding a dose of contrasting color to the overall composition.
