Nørding: Hunting Pipe Partially Rusticated Ram (2012) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-508-15604
Originally introduced in 1995, Erik Nording's Hunting Pipe series is an annual release that takes inspiration from a particular game animal in order to raise awareness of global conservation efforts. For 2012, Nording commemorated the ram with this Horn-esque bent Dublin. Possessing a supple curvature throughout the stummel and a nearly seamless transition, this piece is a fluid, gestural design. It features a flared rim and lithe taper throughout the bowl, with firm, prominent ridgelines across the bowl and shank adding a touch of firmness. Topped off by a tapered stem of jet-black acrylic and dressed in a warm, traditional smooth finish that accentuates the handsome grain, this is a charming piece of Danish craftsmanship.
