Nording: Brown Matte Freehand (3) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-508-15819

This piece from Erik Nording showcases the Danish carver's penchant for bold, organic Freehand shapes. The bowl possesses an undulating, plateau-crowned rim and plenty of fluting channels. Coming out of the low-set transition, the boxy, paneled shank flares gently, its firm lines mirroring the crisp ridges of the bowl. The stummel wears a smoky, contrast-stained smooth finish that accentuates the sweeping flame grain on either flank of the bowl, while the jet-black acrylic mouthpiece offers a dose complementary color to the composition. Boasting a good bit of chamber capacity, this piece is handsome, versatile, and charming.
