Nørding: Brown Matte Bent Billiard (3) Tobacco Pipe

A robust and full-bodied bent Billiard, this piece from Danish carver Erik Nording falls in line with his neoclassical style, though it's quite different from his more recognizable Fancy Freehand work. Up front, the bowl sits atop a rounded heel and takes on a very gentle taper to its broad, plateau-crowned rim, a trim, upturned shank ebbing out of a tightly-knit transition out back. Married to this shank is a demurely downturned stem of black acrylic with a firm expansion ring at the base, matching well with the warm tones of the Brown Matte finish dressing the briar.
