Nording: Black Grain Freehand (Oversized) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-508-17540
With a pipe-making career that dates to the 1960s, Erik Nørding is a prolific Danish carver who's known around the world for his signature take on the Danish Fancy design style. His Black Grain series comprises pipes that fit well within this style, complete with shaping that includes fluting channels, firm ridges, and organic flourishes that make every piece unique despite being factory-made. The line's namesake comes from the vivid stain that dresses the stummel, pairing light, vibrant hues with streaks of inky black that define the briar's natural grain. This particular Freehand features an extra-large chamber, living up to its "Oversized" designation through its hearty proportions and palm-filling bowl.-John McElheny
