Nørding: Erik The Red Natural Smooth Bent Bulldog Tobacco Pipe

Introduced in 2021, Erik Nørding's Erik the Red series comprises classically inclined shapes at attractive price points, their subdued style quite different from his more prevalent Fancy Freehand work. This bent Bulldog design is one of my favorites of the bunch, with a plump, hearty bowl paired to an upward curving, diamond-shaped shank, their ridgelines adding a touch of structure to an otherwise sinuous, fluid profile. Dressed in a light, natural stain, this pipe showcases a wealth of handsome grain and has the unique ability to patinate as it it smoked, taking on bespoke color patterns through the stummel.
