Nørding: Signature Partially Rusticated Freehand Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-508-19489
Since the 1960s, Erik Nørding has championed the Danish Fancy Freehand aesthetic, a design style that forgoes traditional shaping cues to offer one-of-a-kind designs that evoke organic, floral elements for a unique, naturalistic motif. The Danish carver's Signature series exemplifies this iconic Nørding aesthetic, and it originated when Erik would shape pipes in person at pipe shows, signing the virgin stummels with his name as a souvenir. They became so popular that Nørding now offers a special series comprised of such Freehands emblazoned with Erik's signature and offered here in a partially rusticated finish contrasted by smooth, virgin briar that will accrue darker tones of brown and tan as it develops a patina.
