Nørding: Limited Partially Rusticated Tomato (C) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-508-19744
A legendary Danish carver, Erik Nørding has been producing pipes since the 1960s and was one of the leading pioneers of the Danish Fancy Freehand movement. Nørding's Limited series, as its name implies, consists of limited-edition pipes that are unique in either finish, briar, shaping, or stem type. Shape-wise, this Tomato features a broad bowl that stands atop an upturned oval shank and a smartly curved tapered stem. Said bowl is broad and rich with curvature, its slender walls building upward to a taut rim and taking on a subtle forward cant, imbuing the total shape with a touch of dynamism in profile. Dressing this piece is Nørding's signature partial rustication, which lends a wealth of tactile detail to the form.
