Nørding: Partially Rusticated Tomato with Silver (3) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-508-21706
Erik Nørding is a prolific Danish carver who has been fashioning pipes since the 1960s and is known around the world for his signature interpretation of the Danish Fancy design style. Many of his pieces feature striking, organic shaping, with unique details prevalent throughout despite being factory-made. This particular line of pipes comprises more classically-oriented pieces across a variety of shapes, all unified by striking, contrast-rich stains and broad bands of silver at the base of the stem. These pieces showcase a bespoke look and a wealth of detail, and though they don't specifically embody the Fancy Freehand aesthetic, they're certainly iconic examples of Nørding's work. This particular Tomato example features a silver accent and a partial rustication.
