Rattray's: Lowland (34) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-599-8142
The Gambler shape and the "110" are both Poker renditions within Rattray's portfolio, but each displays a slightly angled shank and bent stem — à la the Cherrywood design. By contrast, this "34" iteration is a perfectly straight version of the shape-chart standard. It features the design's characteristic, cylindrical bowl and flattened heel for sturdy-sitting capabilities, and the shank is set low to emphasize the bowl's height. The shank-and-stem combination adds sleekness to the profile yet retains a good sense of muscularity, able to accommodate a 9mm filter within.
The Lowland line pays homage to Scotland's eponymous region with a vibrant color palette evocative of the pastoral landscape's rolling hills and valleys. The Lowland series consists of six distinct shapes, each of which are dressed in a rich emerald finish and accented with a cool chrome accent for an aesthetic that's at once unique and enticing.
