Ropp: Vintage Sandblasted (275) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-598-15539
One of Ropp's abbreviated pieces, the "275" poses a compact posture that's well-suited to stowing in a pocket and clenching hands free. While the French marque offers its fair share of Nosewarmers, this piece is a noticeable departure from Ropp's line of Vintage Stout pipes, which while also being compact pieces, are defined by robust proportions. By contrast, the "275" falls more in line with the vintage marque's more sleek and streamlined offerings — the stummel marked by slender proportions and a gentle transition.
Sourced from old stummels found at the Chapuis-Comoy factory, Ropp's Vintage line presents old-school, classic designs that were turned decades ago but never finished. This piece is dressed in a dark-stained sandblast and fitted with a stem of genuine horn, hearkening back to the style of mouthpieces from the early 1900s. It accentuates the vintage motif, making for a thoroughly retro aesthetic.
