Ropp: Vintage Sandblasted Paneled Billiard Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-598-16740
Similar to Ropp's "29P" shape, this paneled Billiard is a more robust and bowl-forward interpretation. Like the "29P" this rendition of the timeless shape features an eight-paneled bowl, though one which is significantly broader, with facets that curve subtly toward the rim and emerge from a soft, lifted heel. Out back, the transition gives way to a Liverpool-like arrangement, displaying a sleek and lengthy round shank joined to a diminutive stem of tapered horn. This rugged, yet refined piece presents Ropp's signature vintage style in proportions that will appeal to fans of larger pipes.
Sourced from old stummels found at the Chapuis-Comoy factory, Ropp's Vintage line presents old-school, classic designs that were turned decades ago but never finished. This piece is dressed in a dark-stained sandblast and fitted with a stem of genuine horn, hearkening back to the style of mouthpieces from the early 1900s. It accentuates the vintage motif, making for a thoroughly retro aesthetic.
