Ropp: Vintage Sandblasted (8P) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-598-19007
Ropp's 8P is a classic Panel, meaning it boasts a thoroughly geometric outline, with crisp facets framing the bowl and shank alike. Despite its octangular panelling, the shape's bowl boasts an Apple-like roundness that softens the pipe's otherwise severe outline and curves the aforementioned facets, and their intersecting ridgelines, toward the rim. Out back, a wide transition marries said bowl to a diamond shank that's slightly protracted and joins a tapered stem that continues the stummel's geometric motif. It's, all and all, a bold, eye-catching design that's sure to appeal to enthusiasts of Anglo-French classics.
Sourced from old stummels found at the Chapuis-Comoy factory, Ropp's Vintage line presents old-school, classic designs that were turned decades ago but never finished. This piece is dressed in a dark-stained sandblast and fitted with a stem of genuine horn, hearkening back to the style of mouthpieces from the early 1900s. It accentuates the vintage motif, making for a thoroughly retro aesthetic.
