Scott Thile: Partially Sandblasted Bent Egg with Celluloid (FH) (302) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-615-0019

Sharing the same update, and immediately preceding this pipe, we found Scott Thile using a partial smooth, partial sandblasted finish to make a distinct presentation of both grain and form. Here he does it again, and again in a bent Egg, but with the finishes' roles reversed: smooth bowl, sandblasted shank. Quite a more full-bodied number than its sibling, the choice of going smooth for this one's bowl results in a very easy presence in hand. Said bowl, as you can see, also happens to sport no little amount of richly and warmly contrasted flame; a bit harder to spot is the very fine and tight ring grain that naturally follows the arc of the shank.
