Scott Thile: Smooth Bent Bulldog (OP2) (473) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-615-0074
Along with being an accomplished musician, Scott Thile is also an incredibly talented pipe maker, and this bent Bulldog is a fine representative of his skill set. A rather gestural, fluid design, this piece features a forward-leaning bowl replete with a domed rim and twin beadlines. Supple curves meet softened lines here, the diamond shank and tapered stem a bit more easy flowing than its Anglo-French counterpart. The stummel is dressed in a warm, chestnut contrast stain, highlighting delightful licks of flame grain engulfing the bowl, while the rim and underside show stunning swirls of handsome birdseye.
