Scott Thile: Smooth Bent Dublin (FH) (587) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-615-0126
Drawing on his background as both a musician and woodworker, American artisan Scott Thile hones his craftsmanship to create exceptional smoking instruments — pieces that are not only elegantly shaped but also precisely engineered. This bent Dublin is a prime example of Thile's distinctive style, which he describes as "Danish neo-classics interpreted by North American greats." It's easy to see why Thile has revisited the bent Dublin time and time again: it perfectly showcases his Danish-inspired mastery of fluid curves and elegant line work. With a build reminiscent of a Rhodesian, the bowl flares from its firm heel to a domed, ridgeline-wrapped rim, subtly canting forward. This forward tilt, paired with the rearward curl of the shank and stem, creates an overall profile that is beautifully harmonious. Expertly shaped by Scott to accentuate its beauty, the briar displays stunning flame grain around the bowl, culminating in the rim adorned with a captivating field of birdseye, while a warm contrast stain and smooth finish bring the grain to life.
