Sergey Dyomin: Sandblasted Chubby Dublin

Product Number: 002-662-0003

In keeping with the theme of "chubbified" or classic shape "plumpifacation" within this batch of fireplug briars, Russian carver Sergey Dyomin presents us with one hell of a beefy Dublin. A very full bowl paired to a substantial and short shank by means of a thick, albeit well-defined, transition. Obviously Dyomin is fond of this type of design and for good reason; it is appealing and he clearly executes the playful proportions well. An added bonus of riffing on the Dublin shape in this manner, is that there is a great deal of thickness to the chamber walls. I am very impressed with Sergey's stem work and the fact that this Dublin is not lengthy; you might be surprised just how easy this it is in the jaw. - Shane Ireland
