Steve Liskey: Smooth Bent Dublin with Boxwood

Product Number: 002-713-0024

While Steve Liskey can really produce a beautiful, organically asymmetrical freehand, he can also knock a classic or neo-classical rendition out of the park. Balanced with a touch of the Danish Horn, this bent Dublin is a fine example of that, following a continuous, smooth, sweeping curve from rim to shank end — guiding the eye along the sharp taper of the bowl, through the lifting heel, and across the sweeping transition in one fell swoop. The strong taper of the bowl also offers the perfect canvas on which to showcase some lovely straight and flame grain — of which this piece has plenty. Beautiful work.
