Steve Liskey: Partially Sandblasted Volcano with Bamboo and Elk Antler

Product Number: 002-713-0041

Steve Lisky seems to thrive with bamboo of this configuration: with a slight upward curve, he can do anything. One stylistic flair he gravitates to is roughly in the camp of this pipe, though it could as easily be an Apple or Acorn. The point is, a relatively small bowl at the end of some bamboo can be just about anything the pipemaker can imagine. Here we have a partially sandblasted Volcano, though I'd say it's a partial Volcano as well, as the base is rounded rather than widening and flat. Smooth, like the rim, the base offers contrast to the sandblasted surface of the bowl. A perfectly executed saddle mouthpiece finishes the pipe while placing the smoker's concentration firmly on the bowl.
