About This Pipe
This is it, the Ikebana "G" grade - the cream of the crop. Aside from providing an exquisite combination of flame grain and birdseye, this briar also presents us with a an interesting take on the Horn shape itself. While the overall simplicity of the design's flow, as well as the use of paneled flanks and underside speak of the Danish influence much of the Japanese school was built upon, the muscular hump perched upon the rear face of the bowl, as well as the the subtle asymmetry found at the face and underside of the shank's end are very much in the spirit of the Japanese love of organic artistic touches.
