Yeti: Smooth Bent Pot with Bakelite (397) Tobacco Pipe

Micah Cryder of Yeti pipes has a shaping aesthetic that's quite difficult to pin down stylistically, though one connecting thread could be identified in his penchant for Danish-inspired forms. He seems to enjoy making shapes that tread the line between power and ease of implied motion, often carried out by way of a sweeping curve at the underside, which can be seen in this bent Pot design. From above, it's quite a wide composition, with a slightly asymmetrical bowl, belied by its active stance in profile. Micah's oriented all that briar to great effect though, making for a broad display of birdseye filling the top and underside, and flanks thoroughly packed with flame. Adorned with a stem of vibrant violet Bakelite, it's easily my favorite of this Yeti batch.
