Yeti: Sandblasted Bent Apple (457)
Product Number: 002-660-0089
One of the more simple and straightforward pieces I've seen from Micah "Yeti" Cryder, this bent Apple combines a supple sense of roundness up front with an undeniably handy, compact form. In profile, it seems to be guided by the bowl itself, as the softly plump form is imbued with a subtle touch of Danish lift, followed by a neatly tucked transition and trailed by a poised, slightly aftward-kicking shank and stem combination. The modernist saddle stem offers an understated complement to the low-profile sandblast, the likes of which are treated to a dark, smoldering stain. If you're in the market for a smoker, and a reliable one at that, consider this Yeti briar for your latest companion.- Daniel Bumgardner
