Yeti: Smooth Dublin with Mammoth (460) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-660-0090

Micah Cryder of Yeti Pipes doesn't produce many straight renditions, making this Dublin quite a rare and welcomed sight. While his portfolio isn't completely saturated with fully bent or even 1/4 bent pipes, the American artisan does often feature at least a slight bend through the shank and stem of his pieces. This Dublin, though, is arrow straight from heel to bit, lent a sense of forward momentum by the bowl's cant which coincides beautifully with the straight grain with which it's adorned. Shape-wise, the form is rather compact, measuring in at just under five inches in length, with much of the piece's briar devoted to the squat, thick-walled Dublin bowl. Perched on the end of an elongated oval shank, the bowl flares gradually toward a rim that's covered in an undulating display of pinprick-like plateau. Cryder's done well to stain and polish the inner most section of the rim, adding an elegant contrast to the dark plateau and cohering it to the stummel's smoky contrast stain. At the shank end, then, a pale mammoth accent peals strikingly against the dark stain for quite the handsome presentation.
