Yeti: Sandblasted Bent Pot (459)
Product Number: 002-660-0091
Micah "Yeti" Cryder's compact, bent pieces have become something of a stalwart signature within the American carver's portfolio. Each rendition is easily recognizable as Cryder's work, what with the robust proportions and particularly in how much of the form's bend happens at the shank, with only the slightest recurve apparent at the actual mouthpiece — which makes for quite the comfortable posture when clenched. Exuding all of that aesthetic and expert craftsmanship is this surefire bent Pot. Plump of base and defined of heel, this number transitions smoothly into the upturned, oval shank, presenting quite the elegant form despite its hearty proportions. Micah has, then, dressed it in a traditional tanblast, rife with cascading ring grain and pairing well to a classic, jet-black vulcanite stem. This is sure to become a go-to briar for those drawn to compact, pocket-friendly smokers, and the finish will only get warmer and more handsome with time and use.-Truett Smith
