Yeti: Sandblasted Dublin with Bakelite (929) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-660-0210

Based in Billings, Montana, Yeti pipes are each handcrafted by Micah Cryder, a carver whose style evokes a playful nature through shaping, finishing, and overall presentation. With an affinity for vibrant color palettes, the American artisan often makes use of Bakelite, which has been strikingly employed in this Dublin rendition. As Cryder's portfolio spans an eclectic range of shaping cues, this Dublin exudes an almost Italian neoclassical character with its prominently featured bowl, while also incorporating the clean line work of Danish design and the compact proportions of the American school for a wholly unique aesthetic. The bowl stands tall with thick walls flaring from the softened heel toward the undulating, plateau-crowned rim, its craggy texture adding a striking touch to this pipe's profile. Additionally, the bowl urges gently forward, adding a touch of dynamism to the overall composition. Out back, a lean shank emerges from the bowl and joins to a sleek saddle stem, the arrangement pairing with a lightweight build and diminutive length to allow for comfortable clenching. Fashioned from swirling, caramel-hued Bakelite, the stem offers a vibrant contrast to the stummel, which is dressed in a crisp, inky sandblast that draws out dense waves of undulating growth rings from heel to rim. A stunning showcase of Cryder's expert finishing work, the stummel boasts a wealth of stimulating texture for the hand to admire.
