Adam Davidson: Sandblasted Speeding Saucer with Horn Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-437-0176
Reflecting Adam Davidson's penchant for supple curves and sleek, subdued lines, this Speeding Saucer boasts a unique, eye-catching profile, one marked by a squat, Tomato-like bowl, a trim shank, and a slender saddle stem. The bowl features a broad, ridgeline-wrapped heel that tapers upward to a taut rim, which is slightly lopsided and seems to cant forward, lending the entire form a forward-surging visual presence in profile. A slender shank emerges from the low-set transition and marries a flared ferrule of horn, which provides a touch of vibrant color to the shape's otherwise muted palette. A dark sandblast dresses the stummel and highlights exceptional birdseye across the bowl's flanks, the finish's inky complexion complemented by the stem's jet-black hues.
