Adam Davidson: Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Silver Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-437-0183
While Adam Davidson draws inspiration from both Danish and Japanese artisans, his keen eye for supple curves and precise dimensions make his work distinctly his own. He crafts pipes with an emphasis placed on functionality and engineering, but one would be hard-pressed to find a Davidson piece that doesn't also look exceptional, as evidenced by this bent Dublin.
An impressively muscular composition, this piece sees a tall, full-bodied bowl posed at the fore of a subtly vaulted shank-and-stem arrangement. Said bowl flares from a rounded heel to a wide, oval-shaped rim, the latter of which looks into a capacious tobacco chamber. A thick, angled transition follows the bowl and marks the start of an the aforementioned shank and stem, this duo joined at a junction accented with a trim band of silver. The band delivers some flash to the pipe's otherwise muted palette, which consists of an earthy sandblast that draws out rippling growth rings around the bowl.
