A nice, moderately sized meerschaum from AKB, this piece boasts subtle rustication about the stummel, providing extra textural presence, in addition to being visually striking. The form's single beadline marking the domed rim, along with the round shank, are true to the traditional shaping, but with a more gestural overall profile. The stem is a stylized saddle affair made from a swirling, smoky acrylic veined with silvery hues, providing a bespoke appeal. This piece should darken appreciatively with patina and will smoke flavor-neutral, elements that endear meerschaum to so many.
