J. Alan: Smooth Bent Dublin (1341)

Product Number: 002-376-0236

Jeff Gracik describes his signature Nautical bent Dublin shape as evoking the look of "the bow of a schooner, as it cuts through the waves and swells." This is not his Nautical bent Dublin, but there are certain similarities, particularly in this briar's posture, coupled with its sense of implied forward motion. There's an inherent softness to the broad, domed rim here too, along with the piece as a whole, lending it the look of that same schooner, after spending a long life at sea, weathered by the lapping waves. There's nothing weathered about that finish however, it being a vibrant showcase of flame grain and birdseye, brought out by a warm contrast.
