J. Alan: Sandblasted Bent Billiard with Horn (1671)
Product Number: 002-376-0324
Jeff Gracik has created a remarkable Billiard here, emphasizing the piece's height with a cylindrical aspect to the bowl, contributed to by its wide, lifting heel. Despite its relatively muscular proportions, it exudes a sinuous aspect thanks to the wide transition that seems to extend the shank from the bowl. The rim is well rounded and smooth, and stained with a traditional ruby stain, while the cylindrical flanks are wonderfully oriented for the impressive display of growth rings rising from the heel.
The end of the shank is rounded with a horn accent before introducing the stem, which expands from that fitment in a single ring before flattening to the saddle configuration that leads to the crisp lip button. This is a pipe with loads of personality, great balance, wonderful texture, and lithe attractiveness, suitable for joining the ranks of other great smokers in any collection.
