We've seen plenty of bamboo-accented pieces from the Roveras, so that's not what's surprising about this piece. Rather, what makes this Cutty so unique is its proportions and how much it resembles the traditional Japanese Kiseru pipe. Granted, this Italian piece is much, much larger in every aspect; however, the proportions between the stout shank and comparatively more petite bulb of a bowl up front certainly call to mind the Kiseru design. A long, hearty, rusticated piece of demi-Churchwarden length, this Cutty is perfect for those who appreciate the Italian school's large shaping and especially bamboo.
