Ardor: Mercurio Freehand Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-004-3155
This Freehand from Ardor, while neoclassical in terms of build and proportions, bears a striking resemblance to some of the organic shapes found in Danish pipe making. The bowl features a sloped rim that feeds into the low-set, cheeked transition. A ridgeline follows the rim's downward trajectory and wraps around the underside of the transition, coming to a sharply defined point at the aft side of the heel. The lifted shank broadens across its length and terminates a face covered in dark plateau, which offers a hint of naturalism to the composition. The warm, orange-hued Mercurio smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights wisps of flame grain across the flanks of the bowl, while a metallic accent along the base of the saddle stem provides a dose of flash for further visual appeal.
