A unique take on the classic bent Pot, this piece from Ardor possesses a rather floral appearance thanks to the bowl's forward-cant and asymmetrical rim. The bowl, in typical Italian neoclassical fashion, holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the slender build of the curling shank-and-stem arrangement. The crisp, dark Tobacco carved finish dresses the stummel and provides a delightful texture for the fingers to explore, save for smoothly polished rendering of a tobacco leaf on one side of the bowl. A metallic band around the stem base provides a pop of flash to the overall composition for further visual appeal.
