The Roveras of Ardor are among the most innovative of the Italian marques when it comes to unique, creative finishes, with this Spirale bent Billiard serving as a fine example. Robustly fashioned, the stummel is covered in wrapping, concentric coils of smooth and rusticated texture with a light stain cloaking the carved finish. In my opinion the bowl, especially, brings to mind an old-fashioned honey dipper. Analogies aside, this is a fascinating piece, with a vibrant, blue stem adding a touch of handsome contrast.
