Eight crisp panels encompass the bowl of this Billiard from Ardor, giving it its distinct octagonal shaping. That crisp angularity extends through the shank-and-stem combination, making for a rather boxy design in profile. A dark, inky stain dresses the Urano rustication that runs across the length of the stummel, leaving plenty of rich texture to stimulate the fingers, save for a trim band at the shank end, left smooth for contrast. The jet black hues of the tapered stem of acrylic provides a classic aesthetic to this neoclassical beauty. Full-bodied yet lightweight in hand, this piece from the Italian workshop presents a decidedly muscular aesthetic that should entice plenty of keen-eyed collectors.
