What struck me immediately when holding this Ardor bent Dublin was how easily it slips into the hand. The slightly tucked transition provides for a comfortable thumb rest, while the flared bowl sits nicely in the palm. However, what really steals the show here is the fantastic grain. Lively tendrils of flame grain rise in concert with the bowl's flare and dance around the muscular, forward urging bowl, emanating from the base and traveling upward toward the plateau that outlines the outer rim. The rich, auburn-toned stain makes that grain even more striking, its shimmering cobalt stem and dark wood accent offering a wealth of contrast which allows the grain of this piece to stand out even more.
