Ardor: Alveare Cherrywood Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-004-3520
Ardor was founded in 1974 by father-son duo Angelo and Dorelio Rovera. Today, Damiano and Dimitri Rovera continue the workshop's family legacy. Ardor pipes begin with classical shapes, which are sublimely crafted into wholly original creations. This Cherrywood by Ardor is dressed in the striking Alveare finish, which consists of rugged, carved channels juxtaposed against smoothly polished sections of briar, manifesting a unique "beehive" look. Shape-wise, this piece boasts a tall bowl that stands at the fore of a sleek shank and a demurely curved saddle stem. Said bowl flares from its firm, flat heel to its broad rim, and as it does, it takes on a dramatic forward cant that keeps the entire shape looking active in profile. Additionally, the bowl houses a healthy chamber within its tall frame, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions, which the aforementioned stem is poised to aid.
