Ardor: Urano Giant Bent Dublin with Silver Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-004-3528
The Ardor marque was established in 1974, its name being a portmanteau of its founders, Angelo Rovera and his son Dorelio Rovera. The family's tradition of pipe making extends further, to 1911, when Angelo's father Francesco founded the Sociedade Rovera pipe company alongside his brothers. Even today, Ardor is carried on by Dorelio's sons Dimitri and Damiano. Part of Ardor's "Giant" line, this bent Dublin is is a colossal piece of briar, its hefty figure filling the palm easily. Its towering bowl carries an imposing presence, formed by exceptionally thick walls reaching high from the firm heel and flaring broadly toward a vast expanse of plateau at the rim. Within the bowl is a capacious chamber boasting almost three inches in depth, ensuring this pipe can provide lengthy smoking sessions. A bulky shank lifts out the transition from the bowl, stretching far to an outcrapping of plateau at the shank face, joining to a downturned saddle stem with a silver accent band at its base. Dressed in Ardor's rugged Urano rustication, the stummel offers a bounty craggy texture for the hand to appreciate, all set beneath a rich, dark stain.
