Ardor: Urano Cherrywood Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-004-3549
The Ardor marque was established in 1974, its name being a portmanteau of its founders, Angelo Rovera and his son Dorelio Rovera. The family's tradition of pipe making extends further, to 1911, when Angelo's father Francesco founded the Sociedade Rovera pipe company alongside his brothers. Even today, Ardor is carried on by Dorelio's sons Dimitri and Damiano. This Cherrywood is a more traditionally-inclined offering from Ardor. Possessed of a dynamic forward cant, the bowl sits firmly atop the flat heel, from which straight, sturdy walls grow toward the rim. Out back, a compact shank transitions from the bowl, fashioned with a metal military mount as it pairs to a sleek tapered stem of jet-black acrylic. Dressing the stummel is Ardor's craggy Urano rustication, complete with a dark stain that reveals warm undertones beneath.
