Ardor: Meteora Bent Billiard Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-004-3586
Dating back to 1911, the Ardor marque is a long-lasting family business that was re-established in 1974 by the father-son duo Angelo and Dorelio Rovero. After Angelo's passing in 1999, Dorelio took over the business alongside Damino and Dimitri, the next generation of Rovera craftsmen. Ardor pipes are marked by their neoclassical style, with stylized stems and flourishing finishes. This bent Billiard from Ardor offers a striking presence in hand and is poised for comfortable smoking, thanks to its deeply bent shank-and-stem arrangement. At the fore, the bowl houses a tobacco chamber of just over two inches in depth, sure to offer plenty of long smoking sessions. The bowl is formed by walls that taper dramatically from a soft heel to a flat rim, making it Brandy-like in silhouette. A high-kicking shank reaches from the bowl and pairs to a smartly bent acrylic stem. Said stem tapers expressly to the bit and boasts an intriguing color palette. The stummel wears the marque's iconic Meteora finish, named after a rock formation in Greece where one of the largest Eastern Orthodox monasteries was built. Denoting its name, the finish boasts a wealth of texture as a warm, smooth lattice arrangement sits atop a craggy rustication.
