Ashton: Pebble Grain Bent Dublin (XXX)

Product Number: 002-006-1188

Even back when it was still in the hands of Jimmy Craig's late predecessor, founder Bill Ashton-Taylor, it wasn't unusual to find Ashtons that mixed up different elements of various classical shapes, producing briars that were both distinctly different form the old shape-chart standards, and yet also retained a traditional English feel. It's something Jimmy Craig as kept alive, as is made pretty clearly evident by this Pebble Grain briar, which sports a Dublin's taper in a hearty, borderline-Billiard bowl, as well as a diamond shank borrowed over from the Bulldog.
