Ashton: Achievement Apple (XX)

Product Number: 002-006-2219

The Ashton Achievement is a series with a history that is, frankly, hard to pin down the exact details of. The (apparently) original Achievement was a line of smooth pipes, most similar to the Sovereign but offered in a somewhat darker finish. This first iteration was relatively short-lived, according to the only mention of it I could find, which may explain why I've never seen any estate pipe example of it. Then the name was brought back at some point (earliest example I've seen being dated to 2005) as something very different: a series of unusual shapes and/or finishes, such as a Billiard with a writhen-carved shank, or a Tomato carved to look like a sea urchin. While uncommon, these appeared here and there until at least 2013.

Recently the Achievement has appeared again, as you can see, and back in its original form: Ashton classics in a smooth polish, as a somewhat darker alternative to the Sovereign.
