Ashton: Achievement Paneled Billiard with Silver (XXX)

Four smooth panels are framed by black rustication on each of the corners of this Billiard from Ashton. The bowl rises tall and the shank is beefy, with a sharp transition to the four-sided shank. A broad, elegant band of sterling silver decorates the end of the shank, leading to the stem, which maintains the four-square aesthetic as it tapers to the lip button. Oriented in cross-grain fashion, birdseye dominates, with horizontal grain running along the fore and aft sides. A classic with modern style, this is a piece for those with a love of the traditional but with modern sensibilities.
