Ashton: Claret Bent Dublin with Antler Army Mount (XX)
Product Number: 002-006-2730
One of the most striking characteristics of Ashton pipes is their balance. They're almost always light in the hand and teeth, due not only to careful design and great briar selection, but to a solid understanding of how balance can affect the overall personality of a pipe. This bent Dublin is a case in point. It's a rather slender interpretation, the tall, neatly flaring bowl featuring a gently tapered rim and fitted on the end of quite the angular transition, with an extended, demi-Churchwarden shank-and-stem configuration out back. The Claret sandblast provides pleasant tactile feedback in hand while the pale hue of the antler mount pairs with the crimson stain for a vivid color palette.- Chuck Stanion
